Full Lips How To Achieve The Look

Full Lips – How To Achieve The Look

Full, plump lips is the beauty trend that just never goes away. Take a look at any magazine and it will be filled with images of beautiful models, both male and female, who have the loveliest, most kissable lips you’ve ever seen. For the ordinary Perth person, it’s unlikely that we have a full team of makeup artists as well as the photoshop skills to create this look on an everyday basis. Thankfully, there are a few different ways you can add some plumping to your pout without having to opt for fillers!

Exfoliate

You no doubt already exfoliate your lips so they’re always smooth and kissable. Did you know that flaky lips don’t reflect light well? So, when your mouth is dry, your pout can actually look smaller? To rid your lips of dead skin (ew!), simply give them a light brushing with your toothbrush. This also boosts your circulation in that area, giving you a rosier, poutier look.

Use a Plumping Balm

There are loads of plumping balms on the market nowadays that enhance volume as well as boosting hydration. Yes, the plumped-up look will only be temporary, but it will certainly draw attention to your lips!

Apply Concealer to Create a Larger Lip

An old yet still relevant trick is to pat a little concealer or foundation onto your lips. Remember to spread it a little over your natural lip line. Your lipstick will go on true to colour. Additionally, your lips will have the illusion of more volume!

Overdraw Your Natural Lip Line

The thought of overdrawing your lip line may fill you with dread but don’t worry – you don’t need to look like a clown! Just choose a lip liner that tones in with your lip colour and draw a lip that’s a little outside your own natural lip line. Then, you can either use lipstick or your lip pencil to fill in the space.

Apply a Little Gloss to the Middle of Your Lips

Either use clear gloss or a shade that’s close to your lipstick colour. Apply a little dab onto the middle of each lip to pick up the light, making your lips look effortlessly fuller!

Don’t Use Dark Lip Colours

If your lips are a little on the thin or small side, don’t use dark lipsticks as these make your lips look even smaller. Instead, opt for pale pinks and nudes. A great trick is to use two different nude lipsticks at once. Apply one colour all over your lips and use the lighter one in just the middle of your lips. If you have a full bottom lip but a small top one (or vice versa) just apply the lighter colour to the opposite lip to even your lips out, giving a fuller look.

Speak to a Micropigmentation Specialist About Lip Tattooing

One sure way to have the perfect pout without all that hard work is to have a lip tattoo. Your specialist will be able to restructure, rebuild and redefine your lips to your specifications. She can even increase fullness and line your mouth to even out its natural shape. If you would like to know more about having a lip tattoo, Perth-based micropigmentation specialist Debra Miller is a leader in her field.
