Common Eyebrow Tattoo Problems And How To Avoid Them

Eyebrow tattoos are one of the most exciting and innovative ways to enhance your looks, save money on makeup in the long-term, free up some of your valuable time and to, of course, build your confidence. However, as with any cosmetic procedure, there are some common problems you may face. The key to enjoying great-looking eyebrow tattoos is knowing what potential issues you could face and how best to avoid them.

Activities

There are various activities that are best avoided for a minimum of a week or preferably for at least two weeks after your procedure. These include any activities that will result in extreme sweating such as steam baths, saunas and facials. You should also steer clear of being in direct sunlight tanning salons and both salt-water and chlorinated pools for the same amount of time.

Oily Skin

Often people with oily skin types will not be compatible with retaining the pigment in their skin as well as other skin types.

Skin Preparations

If you use creams on your skin that contain excessive active ingredients, for example, retinols and AHAs your skin may not be as good at retaining tattoo pigments.

Pregnant and/or Breastfeeding Women

A good reputable micropigmentation specialist who works with permanent cosmetic makeup will not work on you if you are either pregnant or breastfeeding.

Bleeding

It’s perfectly normal to experience a little bleeding when you have your eyebrows tattooed. However if you have a health problem that causes you to bleed excessively or you take blood thinners, the pigment will be pushed out as quickly as it’s being implanted.

These are just some of the most commonly found problems that can affect the quality of your eyebrow tattoos. If you’re in the WA area and have any questions at all about permanent cosmetics, eyebrows, eyeliner or more, contact leading cosmetic tattoo specialist Debra Miller for details.
